LIMEKILN GOLF CLUB
2009 SEASON
APRIL 25TH – APRIL 26TH
The weatherman is promising another good weekend, so here’s hoping he’s right for a change. Last weekend’s Better Ball results are attached to this e-mail. Also, the delayed results of the Pro Member Masters Tournament, is also attached. The course is still playing long for this time of year. The scores for a full handicap tournament weren’t as low as you would expect. With temperatures predicted to go into the 80’s this weekend, the greens should finish filling in, and will be in mid season form before too long.
This Sunday, Bridgestone is holding its Bridgestone Golf Ball Fitting Challenge at Limekiln. The Bridgestone technicians are bringing their whiz-bang equipment to measure the ball speed, and launch angle of both your driver, and irons. Then they will tell you which Bridgestone ball you should be using. Isn’t it wonderful how we seamlessly combine this “Ball Challenge” with our spring sale of Bridgestone golf balls. We’ll have the table out front again this weekend. Remember, you can get $10 off two dozen of the top of the line Bridgestone golf balls, plus send in for a free windshirt. YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE “BALL CHALLENGE”. Times are allotted every 15 minutes, from 11AM, to 5PM. Call the golf shop at 215-643-0643 to reserve a time.
Patty is giving away a brand new “Michelob Ultra” golf bag in the Limekiln Bar & Grill. Every time you order a pitcher of Mick Ultra, you fill out a ticket for the bag. The drawing will take place on Memorial Day. For more info, talk to Patty.
Rob is toting some heavy duty equipment in his golf bag this spring. If anyone would like to try out the TaylorMade R9 Driver on a Saturday, or a Sunday, let me know by e-mail or phone. I just got it, so I haven’t tinkered with the 55 adjustments you can make. I thought I was done reading 10 pages of instructions for putting together toys when my son moved away. It’s a 10.5, regular shaft. I also have a Scotty Cameron “Circa 62” putter. If any one wants to demo that, let me know. This stuff is too expensive to stock, so I’d rather let you try out mine, then order exactly what you want, if you’re interested.
See you this weekend.
Rob
